Great Barrier Reef

The trip to the Great Barrier Reef was with Phantom Reef Excursions out of Port Douglas, about 40 miles north of Cairns. The 65' dive boat "Phantom," with dual 200 HP outboard motors, took us to the outer reef in just over an hour. The weather was perfect with mostly sunny skies, 95 degree temperature and the ever present humidity. We visited 2 different outer reef locations during the day. Each site provided excellent snorkling and scuba.
